During the pandemic, things changed.

Hospitals didn’t allow many visitors during births and my clients had to choose between their partner, their doula, their birth photographer, their own mother, etc. It was hard.

Because of hospital restrictions, I wasn’t able to attend this family’s birth. Instead, we decided to do a documentary film project. Three sessions over 18 months. Photos and video. Growth and love.

During this time, I got to know this family, their daughter, their pets, extended family and we even photographed after a move from Ann Arbor to Detroit! t was one of the most fun film projects that I’ve ever created, and I’m excited to offer it ‘officially for clients.’ (more info on that below)
