There is nothing quite like the change that happens in your body during pregnancy. Your hormones shift and fluctuate, your body changes in ways you didn’t even consider. It’s the most primal time in our life. A time when we should listen to our intuition, our body, more than ever. Taking the time to turn inward - focus on the primal, the raw, the earth. This is a transformation worth documenting.

Samantha reached out to me and the moment we chatted, we connected. I loved her ideas for her maternity session - My vibe for this birth (and life) “is very ancient, raw, and wild, completely interconnected and interwoven with nature. At least that's where so much of my inspiration as a woman and a mother comes from.” She sent me some inspiration drawings and paintings. One of the paintings was a pregnant person in a nest - and I knew that I needed to make a nest for Samantha. Her birth was just as ancient, raw and interconnected, but it was also joyful and happy.
